MY FIRST TRACK BIKE:

How it all began!

The Story-

My name is Mantas and I am a 16 year old motorbike racer living in Ireland and originally from Lithuania. But I have always raced in Ireland. It all started when my dad started riding his road bike. I always wanted to ride with him. After a while he got a yamaha r6 to ride around the track and he was very fast and straight away. I knew this is what I wanted to do as well. His career ended after a huge high-side and since then he has been fully committed to my racing! After that all I wanted to do was ride bikes. After a short while I got an off road 125cc pit bike and trained a lot on it and rode it every week. Over time it led to pitbike riding. When my dad surprised me with my first pitbike!

It was a 160cc pit bike and I did every single track day possible for 2 years straight on it and a lot of practicing. I then got invited to race in the Fim Mini GP Ireland Series on a ohvale 160 machine. My results were very consistent within that year. I didn't have as much experience as everyone else did on those bikes. But nonetheless my results would usually be within the top 10.

After that year we got a new pit bike and on my first day of riding it I won a 1-day race championship. And from that moment on there was no better feeling than that!! Since then I joined the Irish Minibike Championship and on my first race with them I finished 3rd overall in my class. The year went on with my results being within the top 5 and a good few 3rds.

In 2024 I will race a Yamaha r3 in Irish Championships. I was very happy that my hard work was being noticed and for the 2024 season I compete in the Ulster Superbike Championship and the Masters Superbike Championship. I was lucky enough to go to Spain to train with world class riders and ride bikes I could only dream of.

I have always been very dedicated to this sport and training very hard off the bikes such as running and a lot of cardio. I put all my life into this.
